One of the triptych is gone: the three films that I can not lose this time, I saw just a few evenings ago: "True Grit" of Cohen was AMAZING.
Now I do not know where the abandoned outlet, Hailee Stainsfeld that, but it's really impressive how good it is, my dear Jeff ... Jeff ... now where do you stick your middle: after seeing " ; The king's speech "I was almost sure that the oscar this year if he would take the legendary Colin Firth, but after seeing the Rooster Cogburn which has led Mr. Jeffrey Lebowski I'm not so sure. Surely the academy award acting more "academic" by Colin Firth, and gruff but lovable sheriff of Jeff Bridges is something spectacular, it is a character to which diseases you for strength.
And one of the strengths of the film are its characters: all outlined, well defined: people attach themselves to everyone in different ways. I walked back to Chaney Josh Brolin (we've come a long way from when you were Brandon Walsh in Goonies), Matt Damon incredibly highly suitable in the role of sheriff bully and arrogant (but in the end, you will find of great heart and great courage) The Beuf. The triad
protagonist is nothing short of explosive, as well as supporting actors, the icing on the cake is the fantastic director of the Cohen: amazing shots, some of which are majestic and original, but above all incredible elegance. The whole film is pervaded by the black humor that characterizes almost all of their films, but the thing that struck me most of the film was the contrast between a world of hard, dangerous and difficult and the wonderful sweetness stems the characters and certain scenes (the night under the starry sky, when Cogburn after killing the poor exhausted horse dying from fatigue, racing at breakneck speed with Mattie in her arms to rescue is so movingly to hold the stomach, a beautiful and memorable). Unlike "No Country for Old Men" (can not remember, unfortunately, the original title), here again the irony .. back the fun, sometimes grotesque, that make you smile: the bickering between Rooster and The Beuf are hilarious. In the movie there is room for everything: adventure, drama, humor, action and epic (Do not tell me that one of the last scenes, when Rooster gallop alone against four armed men holding the reins between his teeth and two pistols in his hand is addictive).
Highly recommended for those who want to see a great movie, even without having specific tastes.
It 's a shame that does not know the films of Sergio Leone, because I could appreciate another of the many strengths of this film, that is to pay homage to the westerns that were.
